Here at teamo our goal is to make it easier for the hero volunteers that are responsible for running grassroots sports clubs on a daily basis. Inevitably, one of the biggest challenges always involves money - raising funds, collecting memberships/subs and match fees can often cause a huge admin headache which turns running a club into an unpaid second job for these amazing volunteers.
Back in 2017 we released teamoPay to help resolve the admin headaches and reduce time spent on chasing players for payments and reconciling accounts to keep the club afloat. Unfortunately, credit card payments always come with considerable unavoidable costs which add up over time for clubs taking a large number of payments. That's why we're introducing Direct Debits in July to reduce these fees.
We're also extending our current accounts management system in time for the new season. We'll be providing a full desktop overview for treasurers and club admins to keep track of Direct Debits, memberships, match fees from a laptop/PC.
Why?
By utilising Direct Debits we can reduce your transaction costs considerably! And, by subscribing to one of our packages you'll be making regular payments, making it easier to budget for your season.
How?
We're partnering with a new payment provider to provide Direct Debit payments. Clubs will still be able to use our current Stripe system if they so wish - perhaps as a trial or for a low volume of payments but by switching to Direct Debits you'll likely save yourself a heap in transaction fees.
Where?
Direct Debits will be available from July for the following currencies:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
Coming soon - we're working on the following:
Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, United States.
New Packages
From August we'll introduce brand new subscription packages for teamo clubs. These will involve a monthly or annual fee and a considerably reduced transaction!
