Match Day: know exactly who played, and for how long

Match Day: know exactly who played, and for how long

Every junior coach knows the conversation. A parent asks why their child hardly played, and nobody wrote it down. Rotation done in your head, on a whiteboard or on the back of a team sheet falls apart the moment the game gets busy.

Match Day is a new tool in Teamo that keeps track for you. Tap players on and off as you go, and Match Day works out everyone's minutes from what you tapped. At full time you have a clear record of who played, where, and for how long.

Full time: every player

Full time, and the match as it happens.

⏱️ How it works

  1. Open the fixture and tap Start Match Day. It's under Manager tools on any fixture, and it uses the squad you've already selected. There's nothing to set up.
  2. Choose who starts. In netball you fill each position. In hockey and football you pick the keeper and who's on.
  3. Play. The clock runs from your first tap. Every player's minutes build live, and the bench is sorted least-played first, so the fairest next change is already at the top.
  4. Make changes in two taps. Tap who's coming on, then where they go. Every change can be undone straight away.
  5. Full time. You get every player's court or pitch time, period by period, plus a plain sentence you can share, like “All nine played every quarter, and nobody sat out more than 10 minutes.”

Making a change: tap who comes on, then where she goes, with Undo straight after

Two taps for a change, and Undo straight after.

📣 Built for match days, not offices

  • One thumb. Goal, the opposition's goal and Make a change sit at the bottom of the screen.
  • Goals with scorers. Tap Goal, then who scored.
  • Quarter breaks in one go. Set the next quarter's line-up on one screen.
  • Hockey cards. Green (2 minutes), yellow (5) and red, each with a countdown on the player's tile. A carded player is back on automatically when the card runs out, and time on a card never counts as pitch time.
  • Stop the clock for an injury, and card timers freeze with it.
  • No signal? Carry on. Match Day keeps recording on the phone and sends everything when you're back online.
  • The result goes on the fixture. Tap Save to the fixture at full time, and the score, scorers and cards show on the event, in players' season stats and on your club website.

Hockey: choosing a green, yellow or red card, and the clock stopped for an injury

🏐 Which sports?

Netball (all seven positions), hockey (7-a-side and 11-a-side) and football (small-sided and 11-a-side). You tell Match Day your team's format once, and it remembers it.

👥 Who can use it?

Coaches and team admins: anyone who manages the team in Teamo. Players and parents don't see it, and Match Day never sends them notifications or emails. Match Day is in beta. It's on for every club that plays netball, hockey or football.

Step-by-step guides: Record a netball match and Hockey and football: subs, cards and the clock. Questions? See the Match Day FAQ, or message Teamo Support from the app.
