Classes are now quicker to set up, can be kept for members only, and are clearer to book.
For class and course organisers, class booking now covers the whole journey in one place. You build the class without leaving the form, choose whether it’s open to everyone or just your members, and parents get a booking form that tells them exactly what’s needed.
🗓️ What it is
Class booking is how your club sets up a class and how people book onto it. A class is paid for by a ticket or by a membership, and the class form creates either one for you, so there’s no separate trip to set up the payment side first.
👥 Who it’s for
- Class and course organisers: whoever sets up classes, looks after the bookings and keeps track of who has paid.
- Parents and members booking: anyone signing up for a class, for themselves or for a child.
🛠️ How to set up a class
1. Start a new class
Open Class Booking and start a new class. Everything the class needs can now be created from inside the form: venue, coach, age group, season, currency and group. If a piece doesn’t exist yet, create it there and carry on.
2. Add your coach, even if they’re new
You can add a coach who isn’t in the club yet, straight from the class form.
3. Choose how it’s paid for
Pick a ticket or a membership. The same sheet makes whichever you choose.
4. Keep it for members, if you want to
Mark the ticket product as Members only. Only someone with a membership for this season can then book it, whether they come from the event page, the ticket selector on Home or class booking. Your products list shows which tickets are members-only, so you can see the set-up at a glance.
When you switch it on, you’ll see a warning that the restriction is not fully secure. It’s worth bearing in mind when you decide which tickets to use it on.
👪 What booking looks like for parents and members
- Members-only tickets are clearly marked. Members see “Members only” on those tickets. A membership that’s still being collected by Direct Debit counts.
- Unpaid membership? You’re sent to pay it. Someone whose membership is unpaid is taken to Pay membership rather than buying a second one.
- The form shows what’s required. Compulsory questions are marked, so nobody has to guess.
- A real signature. Signature questions now capture an actual signature. Members who signed with the old tick-box aren’t asked again.
- Yes/No questions look like choices. The radio circles show before you pick an answer.
- Home knows you’ve booked. If you’re already booked, Home won’t offer you “Book” again, and tapping a booked session on Home opens the event.
✅ What’s changed
- Members-only tickets and classes are new in September: mark a ticket product as Members only and only members with a membership for this season can book it.
- Build a class without leaving the form. Venue, coach, age group, season, currency and group are all created inline.
- An optional age range on a group (Beta). When you edit a team, a group can now carry an age range, and the screen says where it applies.
- A clearer booking form. Required questions are marked, signatures are captured properly, and Yes/No answers show their radio circles.
- Past and cancelled bookings are named and dated, so your booking history reads clearly.
- Mark an unpaid ticket booking as paid by hand. Until you do, it no longer reads “Paid”.
